iPhone 14 Pro: Users report strange lines on the display

On social media, some iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max users are reporting that horizontal lines appear on the display and flash when the device is turned on.

In a thread on Reddit report Dozens of iPhone 14 Pro users have reported that when they turn on the device, one or more green and yellow lines flash across the screen before disappearing a few seconds later. Apple Support has informed them that the problem is not due to a hardware defect but to a bug in iOS 16. According to users on Reddit and in the Apple Support Forums The problem seems to have occurred after updating to iOS 16.2, although some users report that the problem also occurs on older versions of iOS 16.

iPhone 14 Pro: Strange lines are a software problem

A user on Reddit claims that an Apple engineer told him over the phone that Apple is working on a software patch for the problem, but the exact details are unknown. Apple is currently testing iOS 16.3 with developers and public beta testers. But the update is not expected to be released until early next year.
