Rumors surrounding a new external display from Apple have been documented several times. Now, it's claimed that Apple completed work on such a product "months ago."
At the "Peek Performance" event, Apple could unveil a new high-resolution Mac display along with the long-predicted Mac mini update with the M2 chip. A number of product updates across various categories are expected to be unveiled on March 8. If a new report is to be believed, these could include a high-end Mac mini and a monitor. Recently, it was reported that Apple is working on a 7K-resolution "Apple Studio Display." According to Mark Gurman (via Power On Newsletter) this device could be presented.
“Peek Performance: New iMac Pro or Mac Pro models are unlikely
Gurman says critics shouldn't rule out Apple unveiling its next-generation external display at the event, as he's heard Apple completed work on it months ago. While Gurman expects an update to the Mac mini to arrive on Tuesday, it's unlikely future Macs will be released, such as an iMac Pro or Mac Pro update. However, Apple could "preview at least one of these devices before it's released a little later this year."
