With iOS 15.2 Beta 2, Apple has redesigned the "Find My" app. It now includes a new feature that allows users to search for AirTags or Find My-enabled items that they might be tracking.
If you open the Find My app on iOS 15.2 and go to the Items tab, there's an option for "Items That Can Track Me." Tapping this will allow you to search for nearby items that can track your location. When enabled, the Unknown Items feature scans for anything nearby. The feature informs users if a device belonging to someone else is nearby. If an item is detected, Apple offers instructions on how to disable the device so it can no longer be used for tracking.

Apple also offers the "Return Lost Items" option, which is identical to the previous "Identify Found Items" feature. The "Return Lost Items" feature launches a scan that locates nearby devices and provides instructions on how to contact the device's owner, with instructions tailored to the device in question. AirTags and items with "Find My" integration are intended to allow users to track down their lost devices. However, there have been concerns that AirTags could be placed on people for stalking purposes. To prevent stalking with AirTags and other devices, Apple has implemented several security measures. AirTags are designed to play a sound between 8 and 24 hours after they are separated from their owner. In addition, iPhone users are warned if a strange AirTag is with them.
