The popular Sleep Cycle Alarm & Tracker application was officially released for watchOS today. This means the brand-new app can be used completely independently on the Apple Watch.
The popular sleep analysis app was officially released for watchOS in 2018, but was quickly discontinued due to iOS "limitations." Now it's back – fully optimized for watchOS and independent of iOS. Sleep Cycle is an alarm clock and tracker that analyzes sleep patterns and uses a smart alarm to wake the user in their lightest sleep phase.
This means that if the alarm is set to 5:00 a.m., the user will be woken up sometime between 4:30 a.m. and 5:00 a.m. - the app automatically selects the appropriate time.
Reduce battery consumption with Theater Mode
The recorded data is synchronized directly with the Health app on the iPhone. While previously an iPhone was required for this, Apple Watch users can now use the app completely iOS-free. Regarding battery consumption, the developers recommend putting the Apple Watch into Theater Mode to reduce battery consumption. They also recommend enabling "Do Not Disturb" for the gentlest possible wake-up call. The app is now available for download from the watchOS App Store.
