With the new iPhone X series, not only has the operation changed – well-known features have also been rearranged.
Typically, other iPhone models with a Home button offer the option to display the battery level as a percentage. To use this option, you need to open the "Battery" section in Settings. Here, you can enable or disable the percentage display—a useful and widely used feature. However, this option is no longer available on the iPhone X, XS, XS Max, and XR—there's a lack of space due to the notch. But that doesn't mean the display is completely gone.
How to open the Control Center
The option to control the percentage display in the settings has been removed. Apple has simply repositioned the value on your iPhone X, XS, XS Max or XR. From now on, it is hidden in the control center. This means that a simple glance at the display is no longer enough. The control center is accessed by a simple swipe gesture from the top right corner of the display downwards - this is where the battery and signal strength symbols are located. Here you can find out more about the battery status your iPhone.
