One of the features that Apple announced with iCloud+ during WWDC 2021 is the ability to store individual email domains. Now this is possible on the official beta website.

According to Apple, iCloud+ will bring some new features. However, there will be no change in price for users. The new feature is advertised as follows:
Personalize your iCloud Mail address with a custom domain name and invite family members to use the same domain with their iCloud Mail accounts.

Support for custom email domains in iCloud+ is a particularly interesting addition to iCloud, bringing functionality parity with a long-standing feature in Google Workspace and Microsoft 365. This means teams and tech-savvy families can control their online branding while enjoying the benefits of a hosted email solution. But that's not all. Here's a reminder. These are the features that iCloud+ brings:
- Private Relay is the most important new feature of iCloud+. With Private Relay, all traffic leaving your iDevice is encrypted and sent through two separate relays. Apple promises that no one, not even Apple, can access or view this data. This feature could be compared to a VPN, which in this case is provided by Apple.
- Hide Email Address is a new feature built into Mail, Safari, and other services that allows you to create random, unique emails that are forwarded to your main account—fully functional aliases. This means you can hide your emails from services to increase your privacy.
- iCloud+ also includes unlimited HomeKit Secure Video cameras. Currently, iCloud users are limited to five cameras per account, but this limit has been removed with iCloud+.
How to add custom email domains to iCloud
If you're participating in the beta program, simply follow these steps to create a custom domain:
- Open beta.icloud.com.
- Click iCloud Settings.
- Under Custom Email Domain, click Manage.
- Choose whether you want to create a domain for yourself or for your whole family.
- Once you've decided what to name your domain, add an existing email to forward your messages.
- Update everything and finish setting up your domain.
