Nintendo yesterday announced the Nintendo Switch Lite introduced – a slimmed down version of the popular Nintendo Switch. Now a serious hint of an update to the Nintendo Switch has emerged.
A recently discovered application to the Communications Commission indicates another model of the Nintendo Switch. This could be considered a successor to the first generation. It could have a faster processor and more. (The current Nintendo Switch is available for around 300 euros on Amazon) According to a report by The Verge, Nintendo has filed documents with the Federal Communications Commission of the United States for a previously unknown Nintendo Switch with a new processor, new flash memory and a modified motherboard. An excerpt of the documentation was secured.
Nintendo Switch Pro could reshuffle the cards
According to the hint and the rumors, it is specifically the Nintendo Switch Pro - the step can be compared to Sony's Playstation 4 and Playstation Pro - of course with less power. No one can predict such a model with certainty - but it would be surprising if Nintendo did not research further development. The popularity of the console alone should be motivation enough. Given the fact that the next generation consoles from Sony and Microsoft are imminent, it will of course be interesting to see Nintendo's reaction to this. The company is not usually known for pushing the boundaries of the competition with powerful hardware - but the Nintendo Switch Pro - if it is really in the planning stages, could reshuffle the cards. On Amazon you can find useful accessories for the Nintendo Switch – have fun browsing. (Photo by Unsplash)
