A new series of CAD illustrations purporting to show the upcoming "iPhone 14 standard model" seem to confirm previous reports that it will almost entirely retain the iPhone 13's design.
Following the CAD illustrations of the "iPhone 14 Pro", new images of the "iPhone 14" have now surfaced, apparently from the same source. As reported by MySmartPrice shown, the renders show that the new model is almost indistinguishable from the current iPhone 13. On the front, for example, there are no visible differences, as the iPhone 14 retains the current Face ID notch, as previously claimed. The 3D CAD rendering of the back of the phone appears to show a thicker bezel around the camera lenses, bringing the side of the bump closer to the edges of the iPhone's back.

According to the unnamed original source of the renderings, the "iPhone 14" will have the same 6.1-inch display as the current model. A recent rumor about the iPhone 14 suggests that it will retain the iPhone 13's processor while the iPhone 14 Pro will get an upgraded processor. Considering that Apple has used the same chassis multiple times in the past, the CAD drawing is not surprising.
The flat-sided iPhone, as used on the iPhone 4, will likely be around for another year or two before it's replaced by something new, if the trend continues. The illustrations leaked in recent days appear to be the same ones provided to case makers. Apple will share the initial data with select partners, because in a competitive industry like that of case makers, not having a product for the iPhone early puts you at a significant disadvantage to your competitors.
