Although Apple won't unveil the iPhone 12 until fall, the device is almost completely known. But what exactly can we expect from the iPhone 2021? A leaker wants to know.
reports There have already been some rumors about the iPhone 2021, although they are limited. One major change is said to be the removal of the Lightning port. So is the switch to USB-C coming? If it were up to the EU Commission, then yes. But Apple does not seem to be interested in developing iPhones with USB-C. No, the company is reportedly planning to switch completely to wireless charging. This means that the first iPhone without a charging port could be presented as early as 2021.
A big step – but there are also hurdles
The rumor was at least confirmed by the well-known leaker Jon Prosser on Twitter, after 9TechEleven has addressed the topic. But he is not alone in his statement. Ming-Chi Kuo also made a similar prediction a few months ago. This strengthens the suspicion that Apple could take this step as early as next year. However, it remains to be seen how Apple intends to solve the problem of wired recovery. There have been rumors that the company is working on a wireless approach, but there are no more precise details on this - at least not yet. There may be more reports on this later this year - let's wait and see. (Photo by oasisamuel / Bigstockphoto)
