Rumors surrounding the iPhone 2021 series have increased in recent weeks. Now a camera upgrade is said to be more likely.
The well-known and well-informed Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo has spoken out again, commenting on the 2021 iPhone lineup. In a letter to investors, Kuo explained that a major camera upgrade is now much more likely. Kuo writes that supplier Sunny Optical has successfully completed verification of the iPad 5P lens and is expected to begin shipping components in the middle of this quarter. "Sunny will ship approximately 15 percent of these components for the iPad." It remains unknown whether this is for a current model or a new device.

Kuo previously reported that Apple will upgrade the ultra-wide-angle camera in the 2021 iPhone "Pro" lineup to an f/1.8 6P lens with autofocus. Barclays analysts believe However, this innovation will extend to all four models. It remains to be seen who will be right in the end. (Photo by ADCstock / Bigstockphoto)
