According to a report, Apple is considering using ProMotion displays for the iPhone 2020 series – the technology is already used in iPad Pro models.
According to a new report, Apple is reportedly planning to use 120Hz displays in next year's iPhone line-up. Twitter account UniverseIce claims that Apple wants to use the same ProMotion technology in the iPhone as it does in the iPad Pro - there are already talks with Samsung and LG about this. The self-proclaimed leaker does not have a great track record when it comes to Apple, however, he can boast of some Samsung-related topics. On the iPad Pro, ProMotion technology can dynamically adjust the refresh rate as needed to conserve the device's performance and battery life. The professional tablet, however, offers the feature in conjunction with an LCD - OLED products have so far been left out.
Smaller notch conceivable
There are currently few rumors about the iPhone 2020 line-up. According to reports, Apple is still in the design phase. According to unknown sources, the iPhone 11 successor could be delivered for the first time with a more compact TrueDepth camera, which would result in a smaller notch. This would of course affect the overall display size - there have already been several reports. (Image: Twitter/UniverseIce)
