iPhone 17 Pro Leak Apple

New details have emerged surrounding the iPhone 17 Pro. A leaked photo appears to show the revised MagSafe design of the upcoming Pro models. The arrangement of the magnets is visibly different from the previous solution. The leak comes from a trusted source and provides concrete evidence of changes Apple is planning to the accessories and rear design.

With every new iPhone comes both minor and major design changes. What's causing quite a stir this time is a new layout for the MagSafe magnets on the iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max. The information comes from leaker Majin Bu, who shared initial images with Sonny Dickson. The change affects not only the magnets themselves, but also the position of the Apple logo and possibly the charging speed. Many of these changes seem subtle at first glance, but they have tangible consequences—especially when using accessories.

Changed MagSafe design

On current iPhones with MagSafe, such as the iPhone 15 Pro, the magnetic ring consists of a closed circle. This seems to be changing with the iPhone 17 Pro. The leaked photo, which allegedly shows third-party cases, shows that the ring has an opening. This means that the magnet arrangement is no longer completely closed. Apple's intention with this has not been officially confirmed. According to the leaker, this is not a technical change, but rather a visual update. The new arrangement is intended to ensure that the Apple logo remains clearly visible despite the case—a detail that appears to be related to another design element.

Apple logo sits lower

Majin Bu and Sonny Dickson report that the Apple logo on the back of the iPhone 17 Pro sits lower than before. According to the sources, this is due to a larger camera unit, which takes up more space on the back. The magnets need to be adjusted accordingly to ensure the accessory sits and functions properly.

Accessories remain compatible

According to current information, anyone who already owns MagSafe accessories has nothing to worry about. Despite the visual change, existing accessories should continue to work with the iPhone 17 Pro. The magnets are apparently positioned to ensure mechanical and electrical compatibility. This particularly applies to chargers, wallets, and mounts. This statement comes from sources in the case production. The new magnet shape therefore has no impact on everyday use, but primarily changes the external appearance.

Option: Faster loading speed

Regardless of the magnet layout, there are indications that Apple may be focusing on improved charging performance in the new Pro models. Rumors suggest that the iPhone 17 Pro, along with a new generation of MagSafe chargers, will support slightly higher charging speeds. There are no concrete figures yet. But in the past, Apple has gradually introduced such improvements, which makes the rumor plausible.

iPhone 17 Pro: magnets, logo, charging power

The iPhone 17 Pro is getting a new MagSafe design. Instead of a continuous magnetic ring, the leaked image shows a version with an opening. At the same time, the Apple logo is moving further down – presumably because of a larger camera. According to current information, the change is purely cosmetic. Existing accessories will remain usable. A slightly faster charging speed is also possible with a future MagSafe charger. While not a groundbreaking innovation, the update once again demonstrates Apple's attention to detail – and how small design decisions can directly impact accessories and the user experience.
