The speculation surrounding the next iPhone generation (iPhone 12) is currently focused on the market launch. Now there is a message directly from Foxconn.

Investors fear that the Corona crisis could have a devastating impact on the production plans of the Chinese industry. But Foxconn is unimpressed. Now Apple's most important assembly partner is said to have confirmed the 5G iPhone to investors, reports Bloomberg. In a private conference call, Foxconn investor relations boss Alex Yang is said to have confirmed the new iPhone with 5G technology (alleged iPhone 12). According to the report, the device is set to be released this fall. report:

Apple Inc.'s key manufacturing partner assured investors it can still have the latest 5G-enabled iPhones ready for a fall debut. Hon Hai Precision Industry Co., which makes most of the world's iPhones, told investors it has lost time due to travel restrictions and other disruptions caused by the pandemic. But Hon Hai can still meet the deadline by the time the first test assembly lines start in June, investor relations chief Alex Yang said in a private conference call hosted by Goldman Sachs.

iPhone 12 market launch in October or November conceivable

According to this, test production could take place as planned in June before series production starts. This means that from a production perspective, the new iPhone 12 series could be released on time in the fall. But Apple seems to be considering a postponement, as was already reported last week. The reason is the Corona crisis. According to the report at the time, the company fears significantly weaker demand. A final decision is therefore expected in May - according to the anonymous source. Jon Prosser, on the other hand, believes that Apple does not want to launch the new iPhone lineup until October or November. This cannot be completely ruled out either, as this has already been the case in the past - we remember 2017. Prosser has already explained that the completion of the first prototype was slowed down due to the Corona crisis. Given the current situation, it seems difficult to imagine that Apple will generally stick to the usual time frame - September. A postponement to October or November is actually conceivable, if Apple decides to launch in the fall. All in all, further developments remain exciting. (Photo by Laymanzoom / Bigstockphoto)
