The new streaming service Apple TV+ was officially launched a week ago today and already seems to be a success.
After just one week, the decision has already been made – Apple's four launch series "The Morning Show", "See", "Dickinson" and "For All Mankind" are to be renewed. According to a report by Variety, Apple has already commissioned a second season for all four series. Although Apple's originals were not well received by critics, the viewing figures seem to speak a different language. Variety:
"Sources close to Apple claim that the existing service has attracted millions of users who spend an average of more than an hour on the Apple TV Plus platform. The early numbers suggest that most viewers who watched one episode of the four main series watched at least one or two more."
Three of the four available series have not yet been fully released. They receive a new episode every week. Season 1 of "Dickinson", on the other hand, has already been presented in full. The Apple TV+ subscription costs around €4.99 per month and has family sharing. A 7-day trial period is included. Buyers of a new iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, Mac or Apple TV receive the subscription free of charge for a year. (Image: Apple TV+)
