When will Apple introduce the AirTags? Fans have been asking this question for months. The small trackers keep appearing in the iOS code. Reports from anonymous sources and patents are fueling the rumors. But so far, Apple has held back the brand-new accessory. The reasons can only be speculated. Now, South Korean rival Samsung is stepping in. The company is reportedly developing a tracker called the "Galaxy Smart Tag" that is intended to be a rival. In August, alongside the launch of the Samsung Galaxy Note 20, the South Korean company explained how Samsung's SmartThings Find feature can locate compatible Galaxy products with greater accuracy. It is now alleged that Samsung is using this software for a tag-like item tracker.
