14-inch iPad ProMotion

Uzhgorod, Ukraine - June 23, 2018: iPad Pro 12.9 inches from Apple Inc. on a wooden table.

Last week, well-connected analyst Ross Young said his supply chain sources had confirmed that Apple was developing a new 14.1-inch iPad Pro. He has since revised his prediction and believes the device could be a standard iPad.

In a new tweet said Young said he had received confirmation that the 14-inch iPad will not have a mini-LED display. According to his new forecast, it is unlikely that the 14-inch iPad will have ProMotion support. This means that the model is not an iPad Pro. After all, all iPad Pro models since 2017 have supported ProMotion.

14-inch iPad to be released in early 2023

It sounds pretty strange that Apple's largest iPad won't be a Pro model, but Young has already revealed many details about future Apple products that turned out to be correct in the end. rumors Apple will likely unveil the iPad in the first quarter of 2023. In another tweet he shared today, Young reiterated that the next 11-inch iPad Pro is unlikely to have mini-LED backlighting. Apple is expected to launch both the 11-inch and 12.9-inch iPad Pro over the course of the year with the M2 chip and more. (Photo by Denis Rozhnovsky / Bigstockphoto)
