WhatsApp is testing a significantly higher limit for file transfers between users of the instant messaging platform, as is currently reported.
Since 2017, the app has offered the ability to share media files within conversations. However, the file size limit of 100 MB has not been changed since then. According to iOS screenshots taken by WABetaInfo divided The Meta-operated service has in recent days released a new 2GB file size limit for some users in Argentina to test. Raising the limit to 2GB should make the platform more attractive for sharing video clips and other large media files, which are also transmitted securely using WhatsApp's end-to-end encryption.
