Nomad has introduced a new accessory that should appeal especially to iPhone users: the Tracking Card Pro. The compact tracker is compatible with Apple's "Find My" network and has been significantly improved compared to the previous model. A new design, longer battery life, and wireless charging make the Tracking Card Pro a well-thought-out evolution of the original Tracking Card.
Smart theft protection and easy retrieval of belongings are now part of everyday life. Apple laid the foundation for this with its Find My network, and accessory manufacturers like Nomad are building on this. The new Tracking Card Pro was specifically designed for use in a wallet and blends almost seamlessly with credit cards and ID cards. It combines functionality with a sleek, high-quality look.

New design and improved construction
Compared to the previous Tracking Card, which cost €35 , Nomad has made many improvements to the new version. The Tracking Card Pro costs €45 and has been redesigned to fit more easily into card slots. It is available in black or white and strongly resembles a credit card – the white version is almost identical in size and shape to the Apple Card, though slightly thicker.

At 2.5 millimeters thick, it's not quite as slim as the original tracking card at 1.7 millimeters, but it fits easily into a normal wallet. However, those who prefer ultra-thin wallets with only a few cards might notice the extra thickness.
Nomad has opted for a design with straight edges and an exposed aluminum frame, which is visually appealing but makes the card appear somewhat bulkier. Other manufacturers often disguise the thickness with beveled edges – Nomad deliberately avoids this and maintains a clean, robust look.

The advantage of this format: The Tracking Card Pro looks deceptively similar to real credit cards. If someone were to steal a wallet, it would therefore be less noticeable. A thief who only briefly looks for obvious trackers could overlook it and thus unknowingly allow it to fulfill its purpose.
Battery, charging and charging options
A key upgrade concerns battery life. While the first version of the Tracking Card lasted about five months, the new Tracking Card Pro manages up to 16 months before needing to be recharged. This makes it three times longer-lasting than its predecessor.
Nomad has used the extra internal space for a larger battery. The tracker is about a third as thick as an AirTag, but offers more power. When charging is needed, it can be done via Qi, Qi2, or MagSafe chargers.
The Tracking Card Pro is magnetic, meaning it attaches itself to a charger. A small red LED indicates that it is correctly aligned and charging. This also makes it compatible with upright chargers.

Robustness and suitability for everyday use
The Tracking Card Pro is IPX7 certified, making it water and dust resistant. Rain, moisture, or dirt are no problem for the tracker. This makes it suitable for everyday use in a trouser pocket or while traveling, without having to worry about damage.
Features in the Find My network
Like all trackers compatible with Apple's system, the Tracking Card Pro can be added via the "Items" section of the Find My app. There it appears alongside AirTags or other Find My-enabled devices.
Once set up, the card's last known location can be displayed on the map. It can also play a sound to help locate it when it's nearby. The card can also send a notification if the wallet has been left behind.
Like AirTags, the Tracking Card Pro also uses the Find My network. This means it can rely on nearby Apple devices to transmit its location – even if it's out of Bluetooth range. This allows a lost wallet to be located even if it's miles away.
Another feature is the ability to store contact information. If someone finds the wallet, they can contact the owner without directly seeing personal data. The Tracking Card Pro also supports location sharing, allowing airport staff, for example, to more easily locate lost items.
One difference compared to the AirTag remains: The Tracking Card Pro does not have an ultra-wideband chip and therefore does not support precision finding. Instead of a precise arrow indicator showing nearby locations, tracking must be done via the audible signal. However, this is sufficient for most applications.

Price and availability
The Tracking Card Pro is now available for order on the Nomad website. It costs €45 , with a 10% discount for purchases of two cards. Shipping is expected by December 19th at the latest – just in time for the Christmas season.
Nomads Tracking Card Pro as an inconspicuous everyday helper
The new Tracking Card Pro demonstrates that Nomad has consistently developed its concept of a smart tracker. Longer battery life, wireless charging, a robust design, and full Find My integration make it a practical everyday companion.
For those who value discreet security, the Tracking Card Pro offers a compelling solution for reliably keeping track of wallets, backpacks, or luggage. (Image: Nomad)
