Recently there was speculation about whether the Apple TV app would also appear on the new Xbox Series X. A beta at least suggested this. Now Microsoft has spoken out and given details.

Microsoft has officially announced that the Apple TV app will be coming to Xbox One, Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S consoles on November 10. Previously, Sony had announced last month announcedthat the Apple TV app will debut on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 consoles on November 12. The Apple TV app on Xbox, which Microsoft has been testing in beta for some time, lets users watch Apple TV+ content and subscribe to Apple TV channels. They also get full access to the iTunes Store to purchase movies and TV shows and watch things they've already purchased in the past. So explained the company:

Apple TV app requires Apple ID

There's so much more available on the Apple TV app. You can also subscribe to channels like Showtime, CBS All Access, and AMC+. You can buy or rent more than 100,000 movies and shows, and have access to your library of past movie and TV shows purchased from Apple. You can watch movies online, ad-free, and on-demand through the app. Plus, Family Sharing lets six family members share subscriptions to Apple TV channels using their personal Apple ID and password.
