With AirPlay 2, users can stream videos, music, podcasts and more directly from an iPhone, iPad or Mac to a compatible LG Smart TV device without the need for an Apple TV. With HomeKit support, the Devices can even be controlled via the Home app or optionally via Siri. When it was announced that LG TVs from 2018 would also receive AirPlay 2 & HomeKit, the fans were extremely happy. Specifically, this would affect the LCD models with “SK” or “UK” in the name and all OLED models with “B8” to “Z8” in the name. The introduction of the function is planned for the end of the year.
