With the upcoming iOS 17 update, Apple is bringing some exciting changes. While the design language of the new version of the iOS platform remains largely unchanged, Apple has slightly revamped the interface of one important native app: Apple Podcasts. In this article, we'll take a closer look at what's new in iOS 17's Podcasts app, including an updated Now Playing screen, improved search filters, and a streamlined Up Next experience.

Although the interface of iOS 17 doesn't change drastically, Apple has focused on improving the user experience. The Podcasts app is getting some useful updates that make listening to podcasts even more enjoyable. In the following sections, we'll take a closer look at what's new and how they improve the use of the Apple Podcasts app in iOS 17. The design of the Apple Podcasts app in iOS 17 and iPadOS 17 remains largely unchanged. However, Apple has decided to bring the modern and fresh design of the Now Playing screen from the Apple Music app to the Podcasts app as well.

Updated podcasts app with modern design and intuitive navigation

The background of the Now Playing screen now displays a blurred version of the podcast cover, giving the app a more modern look. The volume and playback progress slideshows have also been updated to match the Music app's style. Another notable improvement is the chapter list for podcasts. It now shows the time remaining until the next chapter and provides information about the length of each chapter. If an episode contains images related to the chapters, they will appear at the top of the Now Playing screen, while the podcast artwork will appear in a smaller size directly below, followed by the title. The Now Playing tab has also been updated. Each podcast is now displayed on a card with the matching background color of the podcast cover. In addition, search results can now be filtered by top results, shows, episodes, and channels. These improvements are also available on iPadOS 17 and macOS Sonoma.

Relive Podcasts with iOS 17: Improved User Experience

With the upcoming iOS 17 update, Apple is bringing some refreshing changes to the Apple Podcasts app. The redesigned Now Playing screen design, improved chapter list, and expanded search filters improve the user experience and make listening to podcasts even more enjoyable. Users can look forward to a more modern interface that is seamlessly integrated into the iOS 17 ecosystem. With the announced updates and other features such as lock screen customization options, iMessage and FaceTime improvements, and interactive widgets, iOS 17 offers a comprehensive upgrade for Apple users. The first beta version is already available for developers, while a public beta version is expected in the summer. With iOS 17, podcast lovers can get the most out of their listening experience and enjoy their favorite shows even more easily. Are you looking for new accessories?
