Apple released the third preview of iOS 16.2 and Co. on Tuesday evening. A change was made to the Always On Display.

Apple has added new features to the Always On Display for the iPhone 14 Pro models in iOS 16.2 Beta 3 expandedFrom now on, there are two switches to disable the wallpaper or notifications when the Always On Display is enabled. You can access these options by opening the Settings app, selecting Display & Brightness, and then going to the Always On section.

iOS 16.2 expands functionality of the Always On Display

Disabling wallpaper will remove your wallpaper if you have the "Always On" feature enabled, and disabling notifications will stop displaying notifications, leaving only the time and widgets if you have widgets set up on your lock screen. The updated option provides a much simpler user interface for those who want a minimalist look, which can also save some battery life.
