The new beta versions of iOS 12.3 and tvOS 12.3 show the revised Apple TV Channels app.
Apple TV Channels now integrates with third-party subscriptions, allowing users to sign up for other services directly through Apple. The Apple TV Channels feature is considered perfect for those who don't want a full package of programming. Apple is working with companies like Showtime, HBO, Epix, CBS All Access and others. Basically, any of the said services can be subscribed to directly in the Apple TV application - using your own iTunes account for billing. The content also plays directly in the new TV app - unlike third-party applications.
Over 150 services
Within the TV app, there are several categories for browsing content. On the iPhone, the bottom section has been reduced to "Watch Now," "Library," and "Search." Similar menu changes have also been made on the Apple TV. Apple is using machine learning with the new TV app. A new section highlights different movies and TV shows that might interest the user based on what the user has watched in the past. Over 150 different services will be integrated into the TV app, including Hulu and Amazon Prime Video. Because the app is in early beta, not all features are available immediately. We will let you know if there are any new features.
