It has been an exciting week so far – Apple has new iPad and iMac models as well as the AirPods 2 presented by press release.
Product presentations via press releases are not common for Apple. However, isolated updates such as in July 2018 with the MacBook Pro series can occur. In such a large number, however, this is very unusual. Even if Cupertino will of course not confirm it, the reason is obvious. Observers and analysts, but also alleged statements from insiders, assert how important the upcoming keynote is for Apple. The company wants to focus on the upcoming subscription services without any distractions.
Software updates coming soon
With today's release of the AirPods 2, Apple indirectly announced the release date for the final versions of iOS 12.2, watchOS 5.2, and macOS 10.14.4. A footnote can be found in the description of the AirPods 2. It states: "Requires an iCloud account and macOS 10.14.4, iOS 12.2, or watchOS 5.2." Since the new AirPods will ship starting March 26 and require the aforementioned systems, the release of iOS 12.2 and other versions is expected by that date—though this could also happen sooner.
Currently, these operating systems are in the sixth beta Version. What innovations can you expect here read it.
