Only recently, within the framework of the developer conference F8 new features that are supposed to significantly improve Instagram. But not all plans were made public.

After Facebook for iOS has received a comprehensive update, Instagram is next. One of the biggest changes will be the disappearance of the like counts under photos and videos. Accordingly, in future only creators will be able to see the exact like counts - not subscribers. Now hacker Jane Manchun Wong has discovered another feature in the code that has not yet been officially announced. According to her discovery, a new sticker for stories is to follow. The function is called "Join Chat" and allows followers to switch directly to a private chat with a click in the story. A creator can create a group with a specific topic in Instagram in advance and use the sticker as a bridge - under strict regulation.

Instagram Messanging enjoys high priority

Users who click on the sticker cannot participate directly in the discussion. A request to join is sent first - the creator must then confirm the request. The Social Media Today platform reports a high level of activity in the use of direct messages on Instagram. According to the report, more than half of all users regularly send messages on the platform. The new sticker is therefore the logical extension of the service. The benefits for creators and subscribers would be enormous. The individual communities could be more closely connected through the new feature - significantly more interactions should be the result. Whether Instagram will actually integrate the function remains to be seen - an official confirmation is still pending. Do you have an Instagram account? Then subscribe to us - we look forward to seeing you.
