Most of you might be wondering – what on earth does he mean by that? Well, the truth is, I couldn't think of a better term. Anyway, Instagram is separating the "Activity of People You Follow" section.
The "Activity of People You Follow" feature has been around since 2011, and now the controversial function is over. This area has often caused trouble – ruining friendships or entire relationships, allowing stalking, and more. Admittedly, some people have only themselves to blame. Still, do you want everyone to see what you like? Which photo you comment under? What your preferences are? Most people don't want that – personally, I don't really care. But Instagram has now listened to the wishes of most users and abolished "Activity of People You Follow," reports BuzzFeed. Instagram product chief Vishal Shah has already explained the move to US media.
Completely gone by the end of the week
According to the report, many users aren't even aware that others can see their activities, which often leads to unpleasant surprises. Therefore, removing the feature is the only logical step. Incidentally, the "Activities of people you follow" section hasn't disappeared for every user yet.
Some may still be able to access it. According to Instagram, the feature will be completely gone from the platform by the end of the week."threads” – the new app from Instagram. (Photo by bigtunaonline / Bigstockphoto)
