At the end of last year, Apple entered into another partnership with Amazon, bringing Apple Podcasts to Amazon Echo and Fire TV devices. The service is now also available in Germany.
Apple fans who like to listen to podcasts and have an Amazon Echo device can now ask Alexa to play a podcast from Apple's range. Support for this service is finally available in this country. Set Apple Podcast as your default podcast provider
A skill called Apple Podcasts must also be installed. Once set up, users can ask Alexa to play a podcast. The playback progress is automatically synchronized with the Apple Podcast app for iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch and Mac. However, the voice command must include the reference "on Apple Podcasts". If you don't want that, you can optionally set Apple Podcast as the default podcast provider for Alexa. Amazon is the first third-party client to have access to Apple's podcast.
