Apple released audioOS 15.1.1 for the HomePod this evening. The update is now available for download.
After Apple has already released tvOS 15.1.1 for the Apple TV, audioOS 15.1.1 is now available for the HomePod. The build number is 1A2591. The update description states:
HomePod update fixes problem with podcasts
Software version 15.1.1 fixes an issue that could cause podcast playback to fail.
Whether the update will fix further errors fixes, which Apple does not mention, is unclear. With version 15.1, Apple has finally introduced support for lossless quality and Dolby Atmos for the smart speaker, more on that below. (Image: Apple)
