The Corona Warning App is an app that helps to track and break chains of infection of SARS-CoV-2 (COVID-19 trigger) in Germany. The app is based on technologies with a decentralized approach and informs people if they have been in contact with an infected person. Transparency is crucial to protect the population and increase acceptance.

The new online presence introduces the project and highlights its open source approach. It also provides a detailed overview of how the app works. Answers to the most frequently asked questions were also provided. Later, the website will feature a Corona-Warn-App open source blog and a privacy policy document detailing the handling of personal data.
