As of today, it is official. The contact tracing interface announced by Apple and Google will be released next week.

Apple wants to work with Google to interface which only health authorities can access in order to be able to provide applications for contact tracing via Bluetooth. The new API is to be made available to the relevant developers next week. To be precise, the release will take place on Tuesday, April 28th. While Apple's plan provides for decentralized storage of the data completely anonymously - i.e. storage on the devices, the German government is aiming for central storage only pseudonymously, as now became known is.

Apple is criticized

The system of decentralized storage means that the data is stored on the respective device for a certain period of time and is not shared unless the user explicitly allows it. But Apple's plan is not received positively by all fans. cooperation with Google is simply intended to create a common platform and ensure interoperability between iOS and Android – you can find out more about this below. (Photo by Kzenon / Bigstockphoto)
