Apple Watch SE now ships with the new Magnetic Charging Cable, a USB-C cable designed for the enhanced charging capabilities of Apple Watch Series 7.
Apple updated its online store listings yesterday to state that a "Magnetic Charger to USB-C Cable (1 m)" is included with the Apple Watch SE. The new notice can be found in the "In the Box" section on the Apple Watch SE product pages at apple.de. The cable is believed to be the magnetic fast charger announced alongside the Apple Watch Series 7 on Tuesday. The company now only offers a USB-C Watch cable. Previously, the Apple Watch SE shipped with Apple's standard magnetic charging cable, which featured a USB-A connector. This cable still ships with the Apple Watch Series 3.

Apple Watch Series 7 with improved fast charging system
Since the Apple Watch SE is unable to take advantage of the new cable's increased power throughput, the accessory will provide limited benefit to buyers beyond improved compatibility with modern computers and power adapters. One of the few new features on the Apple Watch Series 7 is fast charging support, which results in 33 percent faster charging compared to the Apple Watch Series 6 when using the new charging cable. According to Apple, the new Apple Watch Series 7 can be charged from 0 to 80 percent in around 45 minutes using the new USB-C fast charging cable. The company also highlights on its website that an 8-minute charge enables 8 hours of sleep tracking, which is a big improvement as the Apple Watch's battery is still a major point of criticism. The new charging accessory is now available from Apple for around 35 euros. (Image: Apple)
