This resulted in new rumors, namely that the savings bank is already testing Apple Pay internally – several dozen iPhones are in circulation among employees, an “insider” reported.

But that is exactly not true. A spokesman for the association told colleagues from iPhone-Ticker.de (here you can find the report) with: "The highly cryptically worded messages in some blogs are classic false reports. There are no such tests."
So it was a classic hoax that ended up going viral.
