Apple is constantly working on new products and the further development of already known software and hardware. A patent application granted by Apple by the US Patent and Trademark Office shows that Cupertino is considering an extension of the Apple Pencil - the Apple Pencil Paintbrush.

The latest Apple patent was only recently approved and is already making graphic designers' hearts beat faster. Will Apple develop its own brush for the iPad Pro? According to the patent, it would be possible. It also shows how haptic feedback could be used to simulate the feeling of using different attachments such as pens, pencils, markers and brushes. According to the description, users will be able to replace the tip of the Apple Pencil with a brush attachment. This can measure the degree of bending when in use and thus ensure a better user experience.

Sensor in the attachment makes it possible

The patent entitled “Stylus with multiple inputs” also describes other embodiments in connection with an Apple Pencil attachment. By using flexible contact elements on the tip, haptic feedback can be provided to the user – this should also differ depending on the type of use. The simulation should be made possible by a sensor in the tip of the Apple Pencil attachment. The process is explained in a very complex way – the bottom line is that the iPad should be able to register the movements and differentiate them from one another – in order to effectively control the flow of “color” in the image. A Apple Pencil Having such skills would be an absolute dream for many graphic designers. However, patents should always be treated with caution. It is not uncommon for many such ideas to never make it into finished products.
