When Apple introduced the second generation of AirPods in March 2019, it included the option to engrave them for free. Now the company has added more engraving options.
Customers can have selected products engraved for free when ordering from the Apple Online Store—including the AirPods 2 and AirPods Pro. Until now, emojis weren't included. This is now partially changing. Apple has launched a large banner advertising a new feature in AirPods engraving. Titled "New Personalized Engravings - From A to Emoji," Apple has expanded the options. This allows future buyers of Apple's popular earbuds to customize the case with an emoji. There are a total of 31 small faces to choose from, including the most popular ones like heart, cat, alien, skull, and more.
However, this change only applies to AirPods engravings and is, of course, free of charge. The option can only be selected when ordering under "Add Engraving." Unfortunately, subsequent engraving is not possible. (Photo by Eremin / Bigstockphoto)
