Apple has launched a new service called AppleCare One in the US. The goal is to provide coverage for multiple devices with a single plan – clear, flexible, and more affordable than previous individual contracts. The new service is designed to help Apple users manage their products more easily while receiving comprehensive protection at a fixed monthly price.
Anyone who owns multiple Apple products—such as an iPhone, iPad, and Apple Watch—previously had to purchase a separate AppleCare+ plan for each device. This was not only expensive but also impractical. Apple wants to change that with AppleCare One. The new plan is aimed at anyone who wants to cover multiple devices as easily as possible. The most important AppleCare+ benefits remain the same but are bundled into a single contract.
One package – many advantages
AppleCare One costs $19.99 per month and covers up to three devices simultaneously. Whether it's an iPhone, an iPad, or an Apple Watch—the price remains the same. Adding additional devices costs an additional $5.99 per device per month. This significantly reduces the total cost compared to individual plans. According to Apple, users can save up to $11 per month by insuring multiple devices together. All the familiar AppleCare+ benefits are included:
- Unlimited repairs for accidental damage, such as drops or spills
- 24/7 support from Apple experts
- Fast repair by certified Apple technicians
- Battery protection and warranty
- Theft and loss protection, now not only for iPhone, but also for iPad and Apple Watch
AppleCare One is designed specifically for users who use multiple Apple devices simultaneously and want to remain flexible. The contract is managed centrally, meaning that if an old, covered device is exchanged for a new one, AppleCare One automatically handles the switch. The new device is automatically added to the plan without the need for a new registration.
Even older devices can be integrated
A major advantage of the new plan: Existing devices can also be added to the contract retroactively. The prerequisite is that they are no older than four years and in good condition. Headphones must be less than one year old. These devices can also only be included if they are registered in the user's Apple account. Before inclusion, a diagnostic check on the iPhone or iPad or in the Apple Store may be required to confirm the condition. This extends Apple's previous policy, which only allowed AppleCare+ to be purchased within 60 days of device purchase. AppleCare One significantly extends the time window, making the protection attractive for older devices as well.
Flexible cancellation, expandable at any time
AppleCare One is designed as a monthly contract with a cancellation option. This offers maximum flexibility. Users can add or remove devices as needed. There is no fixed term. Anyone who sells or trades in a covered device can rest assured that it will be automatically removed from the plan. New devices can be added at any time.
So far only in the USA – but with a view
AppleCare One is currently available only in the United States. Apple has not yet officially announced international availability, but it's likely that the service will be introduced in additional markets in the medium term. The rollout follows a clear strategy: Apple is bundling more services within its own ecosystem and simplifying the user experience.
AppleCare One simplifies device protection
AppleCare One is an extension of the existing AppleCare+ offering and offers a centralized solution for users with multiple Apple devices. The service combines repair, warranty, and theft protection with a simple pricing model. The new offering is a particularly useful addition for long-time Apple users who value convenience and comprehensive protection. With the ability to integrate older devices and flexible management via a monthly plan, Apple is taking a step further toward user-friendliness. (Image: Apple)
