Coronavirus vaccine in 2021 at the earliest
The virus, which was unknown until recently, causes severe lung disease and an acute respiratory infection. It was first discovered in the Chinese city of Wuhan in December 2019. To date, over 1,300 infections have been documented (according to authorities), with most of them in the surrounding province of Hubei. The spread of the virus has already been confirmed. Cases have been registered in Japan, South Korea, Taiwan, Thailand, the USA, France and Australia. Other countries are currently on high alert - especially China's neighbors. There is no specific cure yet - experts expect a vaccine to be ready in early 2021 at the earliest. (Photo by shawn_h / Bigstockphoto)
