The well-known Amazon Prime Video app has disappeared without a trace from the App Store – after countless speculations, a reason now seems to be known.
Anyone searching for the Amazon Prime Video app in the iOS or tvOS App Store won't find it. The application appears to have been removed. Various forums are already buzzing with speculation – could a new dispute between Amazon and Apple be the reason? All clear – no! Apparently, this is a technical glitch, as Michelle Castillo of Variety announced via Twitter. The application should be available again very soon. Anyone who has already downloaded the app can continue to use it without restrictions – it will also appear normally in the "Purchases" section. What caused the error is currently unknown. It is suspected to be related to yesterday's update.
update 10:20 pm – The application should be available again for all users in the App Store.
