All new features in iOS 16 Beta 3

iOS 16 Beta 3 is now available and includes a number of changes and optimizations of the new features that Apple announced at WWDC.

Apple has now released the third betas of iOS 16, iPadOS 16 and Co. to developers for testing purposes distributed. As expected, the betas refine some of the features Apple added in iOS 16. There are also some new additions - here's an overview.

New features in iOS 16 Beta 3

• iOS 16 beta 3 adds support for iCloud Shared Photo Library in the Photos app. Announced at this year's WWDC, this feature lets you create a shared library to "combine photos and videos with the people closest to you." You can find the Shared Library feature in the Photos app's Settings under Photos. There, you can choose whether to share photos automatically or manually.
• Atrial Fibrillation History is now supported in the Health app. First announced during WWDC, this feature allows you to view your atrial fibrillation data on Apple Watch.
• The new iOS 16 beta adds the new Lockdown Mode option – read more below.
• There is a new clownfish wallpaper, just like on the first iPhone. However, this wallpaper is not yet available to everyone.
• iOS 16 beta 3 adds a new font option for the lock screen customization features. It's the same font that was the default font before iOS 16.
• As Federico Viticci writes on Twitter, there are some changes to the Stage Manager in iPadOS 16 Beta 3. There is an updated multitasking menu where all options are clearly labeled and a new window picker for apps with multiple windows.
• There are new onboarding tutorials for using Stage Manager for the first time. There is also new guidance when you connect your iPad to an external display for the first time.
• There's a new setting for the Reminders app that allows you to "include both overdue and due today reminders in the ID count."
• The Wallet app has new features for using virtual cards stored in Safari with Apple Pay.
