Apple TV+ is launching a number of new series and films in March. The crime thriller series is based on the novel by Dennis Tafoya and tells the story of two long-time friends from Philadelphia who pose as DEA agents to raid a remote house. What begins as a simple ruse quickly develops into a life-threatening situation when the two friends unwittingly discover the largest hidden drug corridor on the East Coast. The series combines elements of a classic crime thriller with in-depth character studies and a gripping plot.
BE@RBRICK – Start on March 21st
This TV show is aimed at children and families. It focuses on Jasmine, who, along with her bandmates, pursues her dreams and inspires others to do the same. But in her world, the way you look when you graduate from school determines the role you play for the rest of your life. Jasmine and her friends realize that they have to actively make changes to take control of their destiny. The series conveys important messages about self-determination and societal expectations in an entertaining way.
The Studio – Start on March 26th
Seth Rogen stars in this comedy series as Matt Remick, the newly appointed head of the run-down Continental Studios. He and his team of discordant executives must deal with narcissistic artists, greedy corporate executives and the challenges of the modern film industry. As they try to produce successful films, they repeatedly find themselves in chaotic situations that fluctuate between grandiose success and catastrophic failure. The series offers a satirical and humorous view of the film business.
Side Quest – Launching on March 26th
This anthology miniseries expands the Mythic Quest universe. Four episodes tell different stories centered around staff, players, and fans connected through the game. The series explores how gaming culture affects different people, including comic shop owners, touring orchestra musicians, and members of the art department, focusing on themes of community, success, and personal development.
Number One on the Call Sheet – Launches March 28th
This two-part documentary offers a rare glimpse into the lives of black actors in Hollywood. With exclusive interviews and personal stories, the film highlights the challenges and successes of these artists. The documentary explores groundbreaking moments, discusses recipes for success and honors film legends. It also offers perspectives on the future and the next generation of black actors in the film industry.
