Samsung appears to be continuing to pursue folding technology. A video purportedly shows the upcoming "Galaxy Z Flip"—Samsung's second attempt at folding phones.
Many will remember Samsung's folding experiment, the "Galaxy Fold." However, the company has another model in the works – the Galaxy Z Flip. Samsung confirmed work on a new folding phone several months ago, but details weren't shared. Now the new device has allegedly been unveiled. Well-known leaker and concept designer Ben Geskin posted a video on Twitter in which an unknown man demonstrates the alleged Samsung Galaxy Z Flip.
Apple is researching folding technology
It can be assumed that the device will be significantly cheaper than Samsung's first folding attempt. Whether it will keep its promises remains to be seen, of course. Experts believe that Samsung will present the Galaxy Z Flip at the next Unpacked event on February 11th in San Francisco. Meanwhile, there is little evidence so far that Apple could be planning to present a foldable iPhone in the near future. But the company undoubtedly seems to be researching the technology, as patents that have already been discovered show. In addition, it was reported at the beginning of last year that Samsung had already pattern for foldable displays to Apple.
