The question of when Sparkasse customers will get access to Apple Pay could soon be answered. The first customers are reporting partial success.
As has now become known on Twitter, some Sparkasse customers seem to have been able to store their credit card in the Wallet app since yesterday. However, there is no automatic verification. This phenomenon is not a bug - similar movements were already detected at other banks shortly before the introduction of Apple Pay. It is therefore possible that Sparkasse will officially introduce Apple Pay tomorrow or this week. A corresponding app update was already published last week.
Initially only credit cards

Credit cards (Mastercard, VISA) will be supported at the start of this year, and the savings banks are preparing the Girocard for 2020.
