Apple's subsidiary Beats today introduced the Beats Solo Pro via press release. These feature Pure ANC, Apple's H1 chip and more.

The new Beats Solo Pro combine functions of the Studio Beats, Powerbeats Pro and AirPods and come in a new on-ear design. They are the first in their series with a Pure Adaptive Noise Cancelling (ANC) feature. The suppression of ambient noise can also be done in transparency mode - this is not as intense as the Pure ANC. Thanks to this special mode, Beats Solo Pro wearers can still perceive what is happening around them. The description says:

"Choose to escape the world with Pure ANC or immerse yourself in it with Transparency. When Transparency is on, Solo Pro activates its external microphones for a natural filter of ambient noise without sacrificing great sound. There's no need to pause your music as Transparency effectively integrates the outside world into your listening experience. Hear announcements, talk to your friends and stay up to date - all with the touch of a button."

On the left earcup, users can switch the noise cancellation between “Transparency” and “Pure ANC” modes. Thanks to Apple’s H1 chip, the new on-ear headphones also have the popular “Hey Siri” feature and can also be used for audio sharing under iOS 13 – you can find out more about audio sharing here hereOf course, the headphones are also compatible with Android devices.

Battery life, price and market launch

The new headphones, like the BeatsX and Powerbeats Pro, are delivered with a lightning cable. After just ten minutes on the charging cable, around three hours of playback time are possible. The Beats Solo Pro are available in black, gray, dark blue, light blue, red and ivory. They are available now for 299.95 euros. pre-ordered – delivery will begin on October 30th. (Image: Beats)
