According to a leak, Apple plans to rename the iOS version for the iPad during WWDC 2019.
According to this, iOS for iPad will be called iPadOS in the future. Developer Steve Moser claims to have discovered this shortly before the start of WWDC 2019. Moser found the clue to the new name in the new terms of the developer's license. The contents of this license include, among other things, a series of "Apple Software" terms. These include Apple's SDKs, iOS, watchOS, tvOS, iPadOS, and macOS – the term iPadOS appears for the first time and represents the new software for iPads.
Rumor has it that the iPad will receive some important updates in iOS 13 that will provide a more PC-like user experience. For example, a new multitasking function with tabs is expected. A number of new gestures are also expected to be introduced - and porting iPad apps to macOS will be particularly easy with the help of Marzipan. Moser has also found references to new wallet types for cars and hotels - which means that iOS 13 could potentially store temporary cards for unlocking hotel rooms and rental cars.
