As expected, hints of new devices were found in the current iOS 12.2 beta – in this case, the much-anticipated AirPods 2.
After countless rumors surrounding new AirPods, Apple itself has now provided confirmation. According to the code in iOS 12.2, the setup process is comprehensively described – including the "Hey Siri" function. As is well known, the first generation of AirPods required tapping to launch Siri. According to the description, the new chip is supposed to be significantly better – the AirPods 2 handle voice command processing independently. This new discovery confirms all previous rumors surrounding a release of the AirPods 2 in the first half of the year. The next keynote is expected in March or April.

AirPods 2 with Bluetooth 5.0
The AirPods 2 are set to have more features and be more expensive. These include better noise compensation and moisture protection. The wireless range is also set to be increased. It is also possible to integrate biometric sensors. According to the latest rumors, the popular earbuds will be equipped with Bluetooth 5.0, a pedometer and a heart rate monitor.
