“Friday Night Baseball” will premiere on April 8th and begin with two big games broadcast on Apple TV+.
The first half of the 2022 “Friday Night Baseball” program was announced on Tuesday published and includes all games that will be on the service from April 8 through June 24. Each of the 12 Fridays will feature two MLB games broadcast live to viewers around the world. The first Friday on April 8 will kick off with the New York Mets vs. Washington Nationals, followed by the Houston Astros vs. Los Angeles Angels. Future games and other broadcast features, including pre- and post-game coverage, will be announced at a later date.

"Friday Night Baseball" allows fans to watch major games without local broadcast restrictions. The weekly doubleheader will be available in the United States, Canada, Australia, Brazil, Japan, Mexico, Puerto Rico, South Korea, and the United Kingdom and will be free for a limited time, with no Apple TV+ subscription required. "Friday Night Baseball" games can be watched on any device that can play Apple TV+ content, including Apple TV, iPhone, iPad, Mac, supported smart TVs, game consoles, and cable set-top boxes. "Friday Night Baseball" is a major coup for Apple, as it marks the company's entry into the live sports broadcast space.
