The time has finally come. Apple has sent out invitations to the October keynote. The iCompany is inviting people to the Howard Gilman Opera House in New York on October 30th.

This year's iPad Show will take place on October 30th at the Howard Gilman Opera House. The motto of the keynote: There's more in the making! Anyone can watch the spectacle via a livestream starting at 3 p.m. But what new products could Apple present to us?

iPad Pro

Specifically, 12.9” and 10.5” devices are to be released. Both will for the first time dispense with Touch ID and be equipped with Face ID. Although the device will only have a very narrow edge, there will be no notch for the TrueDepth camera. The new LCD of the upcoming iPad Pro model makes this possible. In addition, facial recognition will also work in landscape format. According to Ming-Chi Kuo, Apple could install a USB-C port for the first time and thus say goodbye to the Lightning input.

Macotacara has also spoken out and underlined Kuo's statement. According to them, several accessory providers have confirmed the switch to USB-C. The USB-C port should enable video output in 4K HDR on an external display. The user should be able to choose between various options in the settings. It remains to be seen whether it will also be possible to connect external storage media. The elimination of the 3.5 mm headphone jack is also said to be planned.

MacBook Air

The new notebook is said to be very similar to the current MacBook Air, but with a narrower display bezel. The device will have a 13" Retina screen and will cost well under the $1,000 mark. Apple also wants to appeal to schools - whether it will keep its name is unclear.

Mac mini

The iGroup also seems to want to give the Mac mini an update at the same time - this is what various sources are reporting. The device was first introduced in 2005 and was last updated by Apple in 2014. There are few details so far - according to Bloomberg, Apple is changing its strategy. The new Mac mini is intended to be aimed more at app developers and administrators of large server farms, among others. Of course, the installed hardware will be significantly upgraded, which will ultimately also be reflected in the price.

AirPods 2

The AirPods 2 are set to have more features and be more expensive. These include better noise compensation and moisture protection. The wireless range is also set to be improved. It is also possible to integrate biometric sensors. Bloomberg reports this, citing informed sources.

AirPower

The price of AirPower was last estimated at 150 $. Overall, the development of the Qi charging mat has been delayed by a good year. Apple may still bring the good piece to market this year.

iOS 12.1

The next major iOS 12 update will bring a number of new features. Bugs will be fixed and new functions will be activated. This includes the activation of the eSim in the new iPhones. Real-time depth of field control for portrait photos will also be introduced. The group Facetime function will also be introduced with iOS 12.1. Up to 32 people can take part in the video or audio chat. There will also be 70 new emojis. The update could be released shortly before the new iPad Pro model is launched.

Apple Pay

On July 31, Tim Cook announced the end of the wait with the words "Apple Pay is launching in Germany later this year". The community was over the moon - Apple Pay will be launched in Germany this year. However, a date for the market launch was not given at the time. Now there is speculation that Apple could announce more precise details next week.

One more thing

Apple is actually famous for surprises - unfortunately, this effect has been diminishing in recent years. Nevertheless, Apple could deliver something in the form of a new feature or actually introduce another product.
