At a special event in New York City, Apple announced the best apps and games of 2019 for iPhone, iPad, Mac and Apple TV to select press representatives and developers.

Apps of the Year 2019
This year the app “Spectre Camera” was named the best iPhone app by Lux Optics. The camera application was developed by the makers of the popular Halid camera app. Its special feature: It uses AI technology to quickly and easily capture professional long-exposure photos. The drawing application “Flow by Moleskine" received first place in the category of best iPad app. "Flow by Moleskine" is an advanced drawing app that offers various types of brushes that users can use to take notes or even create incredible drawings. Flow also offers customizable gestures and unique combinations of strokes and colors. The best Mac app of 2019 is "Affinity Publisher" by Serif Labs. The company is known for its advanced applications in the areas of image editing and illustration. But with "Affinity Publisher," they introduced remarkable features that allow the creation of layouts for books, newspapers, magazines, and more. Of course, Apple TV cannot be left out here. "The Explorers" was selected as the best tvOS app of 2019. The Explorers is an interactive app for exploring the Earth using photos and videos. Whether photographer or videographer, amateur or expert, scientist, association, artist, or frequent traveler – everyone can upload their recordings to this app and share them with the community. The content can be shared on Apple TV, iPhone and iPad can be admired.
Games of the Year 2019
In addition to useful applications, games are of course a must, as they are an essential part of the App Store. But which games were really convincing in 2019? We'll tell you. Sky: Children of the Light is considered the best iPhone game in 2019. The title was particularly impressive with its graphics. Hyper Light Drifter from Abylight was named the best iPad game of 2019. The action-adventure RPG has received several awards for its unique visual art. In the Mac App Store, the title GRIS by Devolver secure the first place. The adventure tells the story of a girl who is lost in her own world. As the story progresses, Gris grows emotionally and learns to see her world in new ways and explore it through skills on new paths that reveal themselves to her. But which title is considered the best in 2019 for Apple TV? The answer is: Wonder Boy: The Dragon's Trap. The game from DotEmu is a remake of the original game from 1989 and offers a mix of exploration, action and adventure!
Apple Arcade
Of course, Apple's newest service - Apple Arcade - cannot be left out. Here too, there is a clear winner. Sayonara Wild Hearts took first place.
