There have been reports for years that Apple is working on its own AR/VR headset. Now Apple's schedule has allegedly leaked.
Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo according to Apple plans to announce the brand-new product at a dedicated event in January 2023. Recall that the first iPhone was also unveiled in January. According to Kuo, Apple will unveil the product at an event in January and deliver developer tools "within 2-4 weeks of the event." However, pre-orders for the headset will begin in the second quarter of 2023, allowing customers to receive the device before WWDC 2023. Several reports have pointed to ongoing issues with the headset's development, delaying its launch until next year.

Apple's first product is said to be a hybrid headset with a curved visor and a soft mesh that conforms to the face. According to various rumors, the product will feature a band similar to the Apple Watch to keep it in place. The goal is to make the headset lighter and more comfortable for the wearer. It will feature two 4K Micro OLED displays, 15 camera modules, powerful processors equivalent to the M-series chips, eye-tracking capabilities, support for hand gestures, spatial audio and other features.
