iOS 16 includes a small but interesting new feature for the on-screen virtual keyboard. For the first time, you'll find a new option in Settings that allows you to enable haptic feedback while typing.
This feature has been popular on third-party keyboards on iOS for years. Now Apple is bringing it natively to your iPhone. This means that your iPhone will now vibrate slightly when you press on the keyboard. It is an extension of the existing option that makes your iPhone make clicking noises when you type. Apple explained Keyboard feel as follows:

The feature appears to be disabled by default. However, you can enable it by going to the Settings app, then clicking on "Sounds & Haptics," then "Keyboard Feedback." There, you'll find a new option that allows you to enable haptic feedback while typing. iOS 16 is available now for developers and will be available as a public beta sometime in July. Apple will release the update to the general public in the fall, likely alongside the release of the new iPhone 14. Whether your device is compatible with the new software, you can find out here.
