We have read rumors about the iPhone SE 3 several times over the last 18 months. Now there is a new report that is sobering when it comes to the design.
The Japanese Apple blog Macotakara reported today that the 3rd generation iPhone SE will not see any design changes and will instead look like the current iPhone SE. This means that the device will have a 4.7-inch LCD display and will use Touch ID. In terms of features, the device will have the much faster A15 chip and support 5G mobile networks. These details are in line with previous reports.
iPhone SE 3: Better chip and 5G support
With the entry-level iPhone expected to be unveiled in early 2022, preferably at a spring event, Macotakara believes mass production could begin as early as the end of December. In June of this year, reliable Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo made a similar prediction, stating that the 2022 iPhone SE would retain the same body design but receive a "spec bump" and 5G support. At one point, there were even reports of a Plus model that would feature a 5.5-inch display with Touch ID in the sleep/wake button. There were even hints of this in the iOS code. What came of it remains unclear. (Photo by alicefoxart / Bigstockphoto)
